What we are
Current Energy is a solar and building-electrification contractor founded in 2017 and based at 15823 Monte St, Suite 101 in Sylmar, California. We design, engineer, permit, build and maintain energy systems — solar, battery storage, EV charging, lighting, HVAC, roofing and electrical service work — for commercial, multifamily and residential property.
To date the team has designed roughly 200 megawatts of solar, and collectively brings more than thirty years of experience in the field. We hold California contractor’s licence #1074466.
How we work
One team, end to end
Feasibility, engineering, permitting, utility interconnection, construction, commissioning and service are all handled in-house. Nothing gets sold by one company and delivered by another.

We size from twelve months of interval data and your actual tariff, including demand charges — not from roof area or a rule of thumb.
Structures compared openly
Cash, financed, lease, PPA and Feed-in Tariff produce very different returns. We show them side by side instead of presenting the one that suits us.
Still here afterwards
Monitoring, warranty administration and service are part of the relationship. Systems nobody watches quietly under-produce for years.

California Contractors State License Board licence #1074466. We are licensed, bonded and insured. Licence status, bond and workers’ compensation coverage can be verified free of charge on the CSLB website, and we would encourage you to check any contractor you are considering, including us.
Where are you based?
15823 Monte St, Suite 101, Sylmar, California 91342 — in the northern San Fernando Valley, inside the City of Los Angeles. That location means we work regularly with both LADWP and Southern California Edison processes, which differ more than most people expect.
